P5-P7

Gaelscoil Na Speirini join Kilross for some sporting fun

P5-7 boys' football tournament

P7 perform Farmer Duck

P7 pupils from Kilross perform Farmer Duck to the children in Gaelscoil Na Speirini.
P5 doing practical work with Mrs Lyttle on their division, while P4 complete a multiplying by 5 cut and stick activity. 

Gaelross trip to Woodhall

P5 and P6 pupils from Kilross and Gaelscoil Na Speirini visit Woodhall as part of their shared education.

Poetry Festival

P5 girls and P7 pupils competed in the Coleraine Poetry Festival. They did brilliantly with Poppy and Alena receiving a certificate for being highly commended.

NSPCC visit the P5-P7 classroom to speak about, "Speak Out, Stay Safe."
Children wear odd shoes and have a non-uniform day to raise money for NSPCC.

Visit to Ulster American Folk Park

The children and the teachers had great fun dressing up and going on a visit to the Ulster American Folk Park. Whilst they were there they experienced at first hand what life was like during the time of the famine and what life was like in America after crossing  the Atlantic. John experienced what would have happened if you stepped out of line in the classroom!!

Salmon Project

Coleraine Music Festival

Primary 5 all travelled to Coleraine Music Festival  and participated in verse speaking on Friday 6th March . All children received a merit and Emma Thompson came third overall in her group.

Bushmills

Drama

Fun in the snow

Snow added to the fun in PE today when the children went outside to see who could build the biggest snowman. The skills included rolling, shaping and throwing. The children agreed it was a PE lesson with a difference!

Bryson Energy

On Monday 8th December Elaine from Bryson Energy came to school and gave the children in P5-P7 a very informative talk on the importance of saving energy.

Using Junk for Art

Children in P5 - P7 using junk to make their bird boxes with Mary from Magherafelt District Council. Mary informed the children how important it was to recycle.

The Somme Centre

Children in P5-7 joined with the children from Tobermore Primary School on Wendesday 24th September to visit the Somme Centre. Here the children enjoyed seeing all the artefacts and experiencing first hand what it was like during the war.

Vikings

During their recent study of Viking history the P7 children created their own websites to showcase their work and everything they have learnt.  To view their sites simply follow the links below.
